The acquisition process was so much smoother because everything lived in Sequence. All the billing data was auditable, all the transaction history was there. AppTech could see exactly what they were buying. When you're getting acquired, clean billing infrastructure isn't optional. I'm so glad we integrated when we did.
Kipp Bockhop, Co-Founder @ Infinitus Pay

Infinitus Pay is a cross-border payments platform providing API-driven financial infrastructure for businesses requiring multi-currency transactions, stablecoin rails and global payment processing.
When Infinitus Pay was acquired by AppTech, a publicly traded payments company, their billing infrastructure became critical to public company compliance and SEC reporting. Previously managing complex transaction-based billing manually and reporting to the SEC from Excel spreadsheets, Infinitus needed a platform that could handle their multi-provider fee structures while providing the reporting accuracy required for a public company. Sequence delivered clean billing automation that not only streamlined the acquisition due diligence process but now powers AppTech's financial reporting with greater accuracy.
The Challenge
- SEC reporting managed through Excel spreadsheets
- Complex transaction-based billing across multiple banking providers
- M&A due diligence requires a clean and auditable billing infrastructure
"I've spent my entire career in finance and I've never seen tooling like Sequence. The level of reporting accuracy and real-time visibility we have now is exactly what a publicly traded company needs for SEC compliance. I'm in there constantly looking at volume thresholds."
Felipe Corrado, CFO @ AppTech
The Solution
Automated billing for complex multi-provider transaction fees
Infinitus operates across multiple banking providers, each with distinct fee structures that vary by client. A single customer invoice can include 20+ line items spanning inbound wire fees, outbound ACH charges, international transfer rates, account opening costs, FX conversion markups and risk premiums. Some fees are percentage-based, others are fixed dollar amounts and many transactions combine both. Sequence automates the calculation of each fee type per provider per customer, eliminating the manual work of building invoices across fragmented banking relationships.
Infinitus also collects certain fees at the point of transaction while billing others monthly in arrears. Their minimum spend commitments only apply to specific fee categories, meaning real-time collections need to be tracked against thresholds while excluding items like crypto gas fees. Sequence handles this automatically, calculating true-up charges when minimums aren't met and crediting amounts already collected so customers only pay the delta.
Unified data model for instant reporting and auditability
The underlying structure of how Sequence stores billing data means every transaction, fee and invoice is mapped cleanly from day one. There's no reconciliation layer sitting between raw transaction data and financial reporting. When Felipe needs to pull SEC filings or validate revenue against banking partners, the data is already organized the way he needs it. The same data model that powers automated invoicing also powers real-time visibility into the business.
M&A due diligence bridge for acquisition readiness
When AppTech acquired Infinitus, Sequence helped bridge critical gaps during due diligence by providing clean billing data and auditable transaction records. For companies being acquired or acquiring others, having billing infrastructure that can withstand scrutiny and produce accurate financial reporting is an unlock that accelerates deal timelines and reduces risk. Every invoice, every fee calculation and every customer contract lives in one system with full audit history.
